Abstract
After incubation of cow thyroid and kidney slices with thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) in cow serum for 12 hours, more TSH was inactivated by thyroid than by kidney slices. Residual TSH was assayed in mice using the uptake of I131 in the thyroid. After heating the thyroid tissue, it was no longer able to inactivate TSH. No TSH activity could be shown in the thyroid slices after incubation. Keywords
