EFFECT OF CHOLINE DEFICIENCY ON ACTH PRODUCTION AND ON HYPERTENSION OF SUBTOTALLY NEPHRECTOMIZED RATS

Abstract
The hypertension of partially nephrectomized rats disappears when they are fed a choline-deficient diet, and is promptly restored by admn. of 1 mg. of ACTH. The decrease in eosinophile count elicited by epinephrine in choline-deficient rats is only 1/3 as great as that in the choline-fed controls.
