FULMINANT SEPSIS IN SPLENECTOMIZED CHILDREN WITH RENAL ALLOGRAFTS

Abstract
Fulminant sepsis in 4 splenectomized children with renal allografts who were healthy and had good renal function at the time of onset of their infection is reported. Diagnosis and antibiotic therapy are described. Cultured organisms include Haemophilus influenzae and Streptococcus pneumoniae.
