Recurrence of Pulmonary Sclerosing Hemangioma

Abstract
Pulmonary sclerosing hemangioma is a relatively rare lung neoplasm usually presenting as a peripheral and solitary nodule, predominantly in asymptomatic women. Although its histogenesis is still a controversial issue, it is accepted by most researchers as an epithelial neoplasm deriving from primitive respiratory epithelial cells, incompletely differentiated type II pneumocytes, or Clara cells [[ 1 ]]. Generally, pulmonary sclerosing hemangioma has a benign clinical course, and accounts for about 11 % of benign pulmonary tumors [[ 2 ]]. Local recurrence of pulmonary sclerosing hemangioma is very rare. In this report, one case of pulmonary sclerosing hemangioma with recurrence is reviewed.
