Abstract
In order to study the effect of adrenalin upon the thyroid gland, guinea-pigs and rabbits were given daily injs. of adrenalin alkaloid in peanut oil for many wks. The thyroids of the guinea-pigs were not affected, but in the thyroids of the rabbits there was a marked change in the character of the mitochondria. This was interpreted as evidence of stimulation. Pellets of adrenalin implanted upon the skin of rabbits for 2-4 days did not alter the thyroid glands. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
