Abstract
Djurleite is a valid species, orthorhombic or pseudo-orthorhombic, with composition OU1.97S,diffraction aspect P*n*, and cell dimensions: a = 26.92 A, b = 15.71, c = 13.56, all ::I:: 0.2%. For Z = 128, or OU252S128per cell, Dx = 5.81 g cm-3; Dm = 5.747 ::I:: 0.007. Single crystals are rare. A strongly marked pseudo-hexagonal sub cell has an intensity distribution reflecting the hexagonal close-packed arrangement of the sulfur atoms.Keywords
