Abstract
We report a study of the Rydberg levels of Rb in intense magnetic fields. In our experiment the field is sufficiently strong to dominate the Coulomb interaction in states of high principal quantum number. We have observed some simple systematic structure which is apparent throughout the spectrum and present a semiclassical model which is in good agreement with our observations. Keywords
