The Clinical Technician as a Member of the Patient-Focused Healthcare Delivery Team

Abstract

Change is an integral component of hospital operations. The patient care delivery system is not exempt from the forces of change. Ingalls Memorial Hospital has developed the role of the clinical technician lo enhance patient-focused care philosophy. This clinical technician program has successfully achieved patient-focused care without physical restructuring: it has increased patient satisfaction, stall satisfaction, continuity, and quality of care.
