Abstract
This article traces the evolution of the Guatemalan retail sector after implementation of import substitution policies. The retail sector's productivity and performance are evaluated in the context of economic growth and development. The model builds on the literature on retail productivity to identify workable measures of factors that affect productivity.Keywords
