Tomographic high-speed digital holographic interferometry

Abstract
A dual-reference beam, plane-wave illumination, holographic interferometry set-up has been developed which can operate in a rapid double-pulse mode and which provides multiple simultaneous views of a compressible flow field. It is intended for the quantitative study of the instantaneous density distribution in a 3D (turbulent) flow field, as well as for the study of density changes that take place in a compressible turbulent flow in very short time intervals (1-800 mu s). Preliminary results were obtained for a compressible free jet flow and for an oscillating flow from a pipe-collar nozzle.
