Abstract
Improvement in left ventricular assist device (LVAD) implantation techniques may favorably impact on the significant perioperative morbidity and mortality that follows placement of these devices. Based on the difficulties faced and complications encountered during our 45 case experience, we developed a quick-reference illustrated guide which outlines in detail the steps and considerations critical for successful LVAD implantation. Keywords
