Abstract
The success of molecularly targeted agents (MTA) in the treatment of cancer has led to the investigation of their use in combination with other MTAs and with conventional chemotherapies. An overview of the MTAs that have emerged as Food and Drug Administration–approved drugs is presented, along with a framework for the consideration of how MTAs can best be combined to maximize therapeutic effect.Keywords
