Abstract
We consider the decay ΩΞ0+lepton+ν¯. The vector rate may be estimated with the aid of unitary symmetry and the generalized conserved-vector-current hypothesis of Cabibbo. We obtain 1.07×107 sec1 and 0.70×107 sec1 for electronic and muonic decay, respectively. A Goldberger-Treiman relation may be written down for the axial-vector matrix elements, but there does not appear to be enough information to estimate the axial-vector decay rates.
