Hard Magnetic Properties of Nd-Fe-B Alloys Crystallized from Amorphous Phase

Abstract
The hard magnetic material with a maximum i H c of about 30 kOe was obtained by crystallizing Nd-Fe-B alloys from the amorphous phase. The hard magnetic properties are considered to be due to single domain behaviors of the Nd2Fe14B fine grains, which are precipitated by annealing at 600-800°C for less than 3 min. When the specimens are further crystallized, Nd2Fe17 or α-Fe appears at the expense of the region of Nd2Fe14B phase.
