Abstract
Thermodynamic equations are derived which should be useful in the analysis of experimental data and theoretical models referring to the adsorption of a one‐component gas on an elastic adsorbent. This problem is closely related to the thermodynamics of adsorption of a solute from a liquid solution onto an elastic adsorbent immersed in the solution (e.g., a myosin thread). Keywords
