Rapid method for Tzanck preparations

Abstract
Use of the Paragon Multiple Stain for Frozen Sections (PMS) for Tzanck preparations of herpetic lesions has several distinct advantages over procedures previously described; the method is rapid, simple, inexpensive, and results in hematoxylin-eosin-like staining. This enables a diagnosis to be made from a single, affected cell. (JAMA237:1119-1120, 1977)
