Abstract
The write field surrounding a miniaturized recording head of the finite pole-tip configuration is calculated by an iterative method. The problem is assumed two dimensional with uniaxially anisotropic material. The exchange field is neglected. The effects of core and conductor dimensions, material characteristics, and drive current are examined.Keywords
