Defining “Light” and “Heavy” Social Drinking; Research Implications and Hypotheses

Abstract

Age was related to dose of alcohol and freq uency of drinking in a group of social drinkers. It is suggested that problem drinking may be defined in terms of the deviation of dose and frequency from the norm of the age group.
