Abstract
Blood sugar determinations before and at 20-min. intervals after intracardial administration of dextrose were made on unanesthetized, fasting cats. Observations were made before and one week after section of either vagus nerve in the neck on normal and sympathectomized preparations. No significant variations were observed, thus failing to confirm Clark''s conclusions (based on studies of anesthetized animals 1931) that there are inhibitory fibers in the right vagus nerve to the islet tissue of the pancreas.
