Bounds on the electron electric dipole moment in a wide class of models

Abstract
It is shown that in a wide class of models that give an interestingly large electric dipole moment for the electron, can be bounded from or B(μ→eγ) provided that certain assumptions are made about the pattern of flavor mixing. Types of models not satisfying these assumptions are also discussed.
