Brain Chromatin Template Activity of Rats Treated with Δ9-Tetrahydrocannabinol

Abstract
Brain chromatin isolated from rats given a 10 mg/kg intraperitoneal injection of Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol exhibited a significantly lower capacity to promote RNA synthesis than chromatin from vehicle-treated rats. The effect was not caused by either ribonuclease or an RNA polymerase inhibitor extracted with the chromatin.
