Abstract
The chemical reactions of peridinin towards acids, base and complex metal hydride (NaBH4) were investigated. In all cases complex mixtures of products were obtained. The physical and chemical properties of these products provide strong support for the structure proposed for peridinin. The fragmentation pattern of peridinin on electron impact is rationalized in terms of this structure. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
