Abstract
Extract Following the publication of the monograph by Rubarth ( 1947 Rubarth, S. 1947. Acta. Path, microbiol. Scand., [Google Scholar] ), canine viral hepatitis (C.V.H.) has been shown to have a world-wide distribution. Numerous accounts of the clinical, epidemiological, and pathological features of this disease have been published in the last decade (Rubarth, 1947 Rubarth, S. 1947. Acta. Path, microbiol. Scand., [Google Scholar] ; Coffin, 1948 Coffin, D. L. 1948. J. Amer. vet. med. Ass., 112: 355–355. [Google Scholar] ; Parry, 1950 Parry, H. B. 1950. Vet. Rec, 62: 559–559. This paper briefly discusses classical fatal C.V.H. and presents several additional features of the disease as encountered in New Zealand.
