Über die Phospholipase A des Bienengiftes

Abstract
Phospholipase A content of bee poison is measured by allowing the enzyme to act upon purified egg yolk lecithin and measuring the product, lysolecithin, by its hemolytic action upon erythrocytes. Reaction kinetics are described. Thermal inactivation depends upon pH, and UV inactivates the enzyme quickly. H2S, HCN, ferrocyanide and Oxarsan activates the enzyme, while iodine inhibits it strongly.
