Changes Induced in the O Antigens of Salmonella

Abstract
By growth in III, X, XXVI antiserum absorbed by microorganisms having O antigens III, XV, S. anatum was changed to S. newington and S. meleagridis was changed to S. Cambridge. The induced strain of S. newington was reverted to S. anatum by cultivation in absorbed III, XV antiserum. These changes are transformations between subgroups of the same O group.
