Theoretical model of soft hadron-nucleus collisions at high energies

Abstract
We discuss in detail a theoretical model of soft hadron-nucleus collisions at high energies. The model is rooted in Gribov's relativistic formulation of multiple- scattering theory and in the Reggeon calculus. Hadron-hadron data are used as input in calculations, but the model does not involve any adjustable parameter. We successfully reproduce, within about 10%, the following features of the soft inelastic hadron-nucleus interactions: (1) absorption cross sections, (2) single-particle inclusive spectra, and (3) two-particle (integrated) inclusive correlations.
