Abstract
The half‐life of injected monocomponent insulin, as judged by radioimmunoassay, has been found to be 3–31/2 min in a group of healthy women. This value is unaffected by pregnancy. Tests were repeated in non‐pregnant women during an infusion of GHRIH to ensure that endogenous insulin secretion was suppressed by the dose of insulin given. Similar values were obtained. Keywords
