Abstract
Vit. A2 was isolated from "pike" livers and purified. A2 is a viscous, orange-yellow oil, which shows 2 absorption maxima in the u.-v., one at 351 m[mu] and a subsidiary peak at 287m[mu], Its potency is 1,300,000 U.S.P. units/g. or about 40% of the activity of crystalline vit. A1. The possible formula for the vitamin is discussed. Keywords
