Abstract
Zn content in isolated tapetum lucidum of carnivores was found very high (dog up to 8.5%, fox up to 13.8%), while herbivores showed no higher Zn content than in other organs. Injection of dithizone results in such animals in irreversible blindness, mostly in dogs, less in cats. Keywords
