The paper describes a single species of fossil wood, Taxaceoxylon mcmurrayensis sp. nov., belonging to Taxaceae. The wood shows remarkable resemblance to the wood of the extant genera Taxus and Nothotaxus. This is the first record of this family from the McMurray formation (Lower Cretaceous).
