Abstract
The problems of resistive diffusion and of rotation about the magnetic axis in toroidal systems are considered. They are shown to be related to the question of stability of drift-acoustic waves on which viscosity has an important influence. A nonrotating state is always unstable, but if the appropriate criterion is satisfied, there are stable rotating states for which an enhanced diffusion is calculated. Keywords
