Electrical conduction in CdO-ZnO-P2O5glasses

Abstract
A series of glass samples was prepared from the admixture of CdO, ZnO and P2O5, and results are reported for density, refractive indices, infra-red transmission spectra, dielectric constants, and their electrical characteristics. The results suggest that conduction arises owing to the hopping of electrons from the dissociation of O2- levels lying near the conduction band.
