Abstract
Antigen was prepared from human prostate tissue, either carcinomatous or hyperplastic, and used for the production of antisera in rabbits. The antisera were absorbed with pooled human plasma. Antigens from other tissues were used for control purposes. Antibodies against prostatic tissue were species specific. Specific antigen differences between benign and malignant prostatic tissue were not demonstrated. Injection into rabbits or prostate antiserum produced no histologic changes, whereas in dogs it caused alterations of the histologic pattern of the prostate. Keywords
