Abstract
The polarized Raman spectra of an oriented single crystal of NaBF4 were measured at 298 and 77°K in the region above 50 cm−1. The polarized infrared transmission and reflection spectra of single crystal NaBF4 were also measured at room temperature in the region above 300 cm−1. From the polarized vibrational spectra, the intramolecular modes were assigned, and estimates were made of the magnitude of the static field effects in crystalline NaBF4.Keywords
