Abstract
The reactions O + CO2→CO2 + O, O + CO2→O2 + CO, NO + CO2→CO2 + NO, O2 + CO2→CO3 + O, and O2 + CO2→CO2 + O2 have been studied with a double mass spectrometer system. The maximum cross sections obtained are about 0.35, 0.2, 0.8, 0.12, and 0.26, respectively, in units of 10−16 cm2. These maxima occur at reactant ion kinetic energies of 8–15 eV.
