Fluorescent Antibody Studies in Experimental Lens-Induced Granulomatous Endophthalmitis

Abstract
Lens-induced granulomatous endophthalmitis is an experimental disease that is virtually identical to the human disease known as phakoanaphylactic endophthalmitis. The disease appears to be an immune complex disease. The present study demonstrates that the lenses of animals previously sensitized to lens antigens bind IgG and complement as would be expected in immune complex disease.
