Abstract
This paper reports an analysis of the police and coroners' records of all suicides in Western Australia in 1967 Where necessary, previous medical records of inpatient treatment were also scrutinized by the author. The findings are set out and discussed. It is concluded that the medical profession has much to learn in the detection of suicidal risk.Keywords
