Abstract
The spatial evolution of the plasma characteristic parameters in an arc column near a silver anode which is vaporising is determined through spectrometric analysis. The arc current intensity is between 20 and 50 A. The arc chamber and the experimental device are described. The plasma diagnostics procedure is indicated. The silver content is between 10-5 and 4*10-3. By an analysis of the results, the authors show a demixing effect and a significant drop in temperature. Keywords
