Abstract
The effect of Kutral (an extract of urine from pregnant mares) on the continuous basal gastric secretion was studied in 10 patients with active duodenal ulcer and 2 with gastric ulcer. The volume, free acidity, and output of HC1 were not significantly reduced despite the intro-gastric admn. of as much as 7.5 g. of the extract. No untoward effects were observed in these studies. Keywords
