Foods of the Oystercatcher in Morecambe Bay, Lancashire

Abstract

An interesting feature of this study of Oystercatcher foods and feeding habits is the growth and spread of inland feeding, which the authors consider to be a recently acquired habit. They suggest that it is inversely correlated with the abundance and availability of food organisms on the shore.
