Abstract
We evaluated six commercially available materials for possible use in intraocular lens fixation. Dacron, Teflon, Marlex, nylon, silk, and catgut samples were placed adjacent to rabbit iris tissue and judged for tissue ingrowth and adhesion. Dacon produced maximal adhesion with minimal postoperative inflammation. Keywords
