Abstract
Defuzzification is a problem of optimal selection of an element from a fuzzy set. Recently, we were able to show how neighboring elements can influence and contribute to make a better selection. In this paper we propose a method of defuzzification that uses the interactions among neighboring elements and the selective transformation. This defuzzification procedure is modeled on the concepts of evolutionary biology. Keywords
