Abstract
New boundary conditions on the Einstein-Rosen-Bondi gravitational-wave metrics yield closed inhomogeneous universes which solve Einstein's vacuum field equations exactly. Space sections of these universes have either the three-sphere topology or the wormhole (hypertorus) topology .
