Abstract
Day-old chicks from hens fed a standard breeder diet were placed on a complete all-vegetable corn-soybean oil meal diet in the presence and absence of vit. B12. Substitution of 20% fat or 20% protein for an equivalent amt. of corn resulted in a greater wt. difference at 4 wks. due to vit. B12 than was obtained with the unmodified diet. This effect was more marked with fat than protein. Keywords
