This paper details the requirements for taeniid ovicides and the problems involved, including a description of the main protective layers of taeniid eggs.It describes some techniques used to assess the values of chemical compounds as taeniid ovicides.It also lists the effects of fifty inorganic compounds on the unprotected eggs ofTaenia hydatigena, and of twenty-four of these compounds on eggs ofT. ovisor ofT. hydaligenain proglottids.
