Abstract
A single-beam spectrofluorimeter was converted to a double-beam instrument by adding a quartz beam splitter and a second photomultiplier. Exciting light fluctuations were thus reduced from 10 to 0.5%. True excitation spectra could also be recorded and, provided the exciting light did not change by more than a factor of 10, accuracies were of the order of 10%.Keywords
