Abstract
Infrared spectra in the wavelength region 2–25 μ of the series of compounds, tetramethyltin, trimethylethyltin, dimethyldiethyltin, methyltriethyltin, and tetraethyltin, have been obtained as well as Raman data for tetramethyltin and tetraethyltin. The observed spectra are interpreted on the basis of simple point group symmetry assuming that the alkyl radicals behave as “point masses.”Keywords
