Experiments Concerning the Yield Surface and the Assumption of Linearity in the Plastic Stress-Strain Relations

Abstract

Combined tension and torsion experiments for six tubular 24S-T4 aluminum-alloy specimens with considerable initial anisotropy are reported. In all cases the results reveal the existence of corners on the yield loci of the material.
