Abstract
The diuretic, ethacrynic acid, was reported to cause transient acute hearing loss in one patient, and this report documents 5 additional cases. All patients studied had renal impairment, and the deafness may be related to abnormal retention of a metabolite of the drug. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
