A Multimodality Approach to Inpatient Treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder

Abstract
A case of severely incapacitating obsessive-compulsive neurosis is treated in an inpatient setting for 13 weeks with a combination of insight-oriented, group, family, and behavioral therapies. The synergistic effects of these modalities and the therapeutic community are discussed. Stable changes are evident 2½ years after admission.
